After more than twenty years in parish ministry, Fr. John founded ACTS XXIX, a non-profit Catholic apostolate whose mission is to renew and transform the Church by unleashing the power of the gospel, equipping ordained and lay leaders, and mobilizing the Church for mission.

ACTS XXIX — Mobilizing for Mission is an international ministry originally founded in 2019 as a direct result of the Archdiocese of Detroit’s Synod ‘16 on the new evangelization. The apostolate is composed of both clergy and lay men and women, who are missionaries of hope, unleashing the gospel and mobilizing the Church to renew the human family and transform it into the family of God. They do this through four primary mission streams: The Rescue Project, Leadership Immersives, Reviving and Equipping Clergy, and Media & Events. More information is available at actsxxix.org
